Hottest Christmas Toys 2012

Number One:

Above is one of Disney’s newest toys to hit the market – Fisher-Price Master Moves Mickey (M3).  Also known as M3, the Master Moves Mickey is on thousands of Christmas list this year because he is fun and full of life. Just exactly what does this little M3 Mickey do?

M3 not only has 8 original tracks, but also is equipped to teach 4 different action-packed dance lessons. Master Moves Mickey (M3) has been designed to do more than 15 different dance moves including: 360 spins, a signature one-handed handstand, the windmill. Kids can easily switch songs by squeezing Mickey’s nose. Great for kids 2 to 6 years old.

Number Two:

Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas for many girls without Barbie and the Barbie Puppy Play Park and Barbie Doll Playset is one of those toys expected to be a hot seller this season. This gift set comes with a clapping Barbie doll, dog house play set, one small puppy, one larger puppy, a ball, and a bone.

When Barbie claps, the larger puppy really moves and the smaller puppy can catch the larger one for a fun play time. This toy does contain small parts and is recommended for ages 3 to 10 years old. If your child love Barbie, you may want to pick up the Barbie Puppy Play Park and Barbie Doll Gift Set early just in case they sell out.

Number Three:

Spot It was a top selling toy in July 2012 and is expected to keep up the same pace as parents love the game because it is easy to play, it’s not messy or hard to put together, works the brain with quick mental processing, sharpens cognitive skills, develops visual perception and matching skills, and adults get a kick out of the game even when no kids are around.

This fast-paced card game is inexpensive making it a great addition to larger toys on the Christmas list. Spot It can be used for parties or large families as it is designed for up to 8 players to join in the fun.

Become a Spot It master by finding the one and only one matching symbol. Spot It and you win!

Game is recommended for ages 7 year old and up, but many parents report their younger children jump right into the game with no trouble at all.

Number Four:

Lego Duplo Creative Sorter was created with kids 18 months and older and is perfect for getting your little one’s mind working full force. This Lego set keeps true to its roots by combining stacking and imagination (which Lego is known for) and now incorporating sorting (perfect for little ones).

By using animals (which every child loves), the Lego Duplo Creative Sortercomes in the basic colors and the bricks have been rounded for safety. To help children learn to sort, Lego has added sorting plates that help not only with hand-eye coordination, but gives them a sense of accomplishment.

Animals that can be built: elephant, parrot, and giraffe. When this post was created (July), Amazon was nearly sold out, letting us know that this will be one hot item. Don’t worry though, Lego is great about getting more into the stores – just don’t wait too long.

Number Five:

Plasma Bike by PlaSmart is special as it only has two wheels instead of the traditional three-wheeled bikes you see most kids riding around on. It’s perfect for teaching the kids balance, coordination, and motor skills. It is recommended for kids 18 months and up, but as parents we all know there are some kids out there that learn coordination at a younger age, so don’t be afraid to try it a bit younger, if you feel your child is ready.

The Plasma Bike has wide wheels which will stand on its own, but allow the child to balance as he rides. There are no pedals, batteries, or gears to worry about, just good ol’ bike riding fun. The bike does come in black and red.

 Number Six:

Paris, 1000-Pieces Augmented Reality Puzzle makes for one of the hottest Christmas toys 2012 has to offer. While it sounds like a regular puzzle, it has been produced with the world of technology in mind.

Your older child can download the free AR puzzle app to use with the ipod and ipad’s camera feature. The app allows you to see a 360-degree of the puzzle, hear sound effects, and reveal audio details. Of course, I wouldn’t tell the kids this – but, there is also a great learning feature too as you learn factual information about each puzzle’s place, hear music from the area, and hear sounds associated with the area.

The Paris, 1000-Pieces Augmented Reality Puzzle is just one in a new collection you can find. Other puzzle available: Underwater, 1000-Pieces Augmented Reality Puzzle, Animals in Africa, 1000-Pieces Augmented Reality Puzzle, Lofoten, Norway – 1000-Pieces Augmented Reality Puzzle.

Number Seven:

Wee Blossom Weplay Rocking Bowl makes our top 10 Christmas gifts because it is not only unique, but gives kids that extra push for the motion they love. Think about it – kids love to swing, walk, run, swim, climb, well, anything with motion. The Rocking Bowl allows them to use their whole body to make the rocking motion which works their muscles while letting their imagination soar.

Small toys like balls and stuffed animals can be put inside the bowl and will easily fit two small children. Take it outside during the summer and put a little water in it for some splashing fun!

This little gem can be hard to find, but will make a one hot Christmas toy this year! I’ve heard that kids love turning it over to hide or to play like they are a turtle in its shell. Whatever your little one chooses to do with this toy, it is sure to be hours of fun!

 Number Eight:

For the kids who love board games and cooking, this one is a must! Suited for ages 4 and up and for 2 to 4 players, B-B-Q Blitz! makes any cooking enthusiast a pro at hand-eye coordination and matching skills which are both important for early development.

Includes barbecue game board, 16 burgers with 4 different toppings, 12 buns, 4 paper plates, and 4 spatulas. Race to be the first to fill your plate with the right burgers! Parents love this game because it helps little ones with color and shape recognition while helping develop their motor skills.

Number Nine:

For the older kids on your list, check out Thames and Kosmos Alternative Energy and Environmental Science Power House Green Essentials. What is it?

It’s a kit that helps kids ‘go green’ by learning about alternative energy, sustainable living by conducting experiments and building energy-related models. Don’t mistake this kit for the simple kits you can buy at local hobby stores. It is much more than that…

Kids can conduct 30 experiments and building ten energy-related models: the power house itself, a greenhouse, a solar cell array, a passive solar collector, a solar oven, an air conditioner, a refrigerator, a hydrometer, a lemon battery, and a wind power generator. Kit comes complete with a 64-page, full color, experiment manual.

Other kits in the Thames and Kosmos collection: Air + Water Power, Physics Solar Workshop, Wind Power 2.0, and many others for different ages.

Number Ten:

Do you have an energetic kid who loves to hide, run, duck, and aim? With the Razor Vapor: Delta 500 Blaster, he can have all the fun of paintball without the major mess and sting that the paint balls leave behind. Surprise your little one this holiday with this environmentally friendly shooter with non-toxic evaporating ammo.

Ammo will shoot up to 80 feet – perfect for target practice! The blaster holds up to 100 rounds of ammo in a single load. This model comes with 500 extra rounds of gel ammo to get you through the first few days after Christmas (if your lucky!) Kids love this blaster so much, you’d better pick up some extra ammo by getting the 500 Round refill pack.

Extra – Number Eleven

Furby Aqua

With all the talk of the New Furby’s release, we had to add just one more toy to our list just so we could add this adorable toy. You may remember him from your childhood. Now back and better than ever, your little one can enjoy him this holiday season.

He even comes with an app that can be used with an iPod, iPad, or even iPhone, but he is great whether you choose to use this app or not. Furby comes in a variety of colors, but they are selling out fast!

Christmas Must Haves

Don’t wake up Christmas morning with a camera that has a filled up memory card. Be sure to pick up an extra memory card, charge your video camera, and grab some batteries.

The Transcend 16 GB SDHC Class 10 Flash Memory Card TS16GSDHC10E is compatible with all SDHC labeled host devices and is certified to have a hassle-free packaging to save you the stress of having to fight with the packaging.

It’s easy to use plug and play operation and is fully compatible with SD 3.0 standards.

Don’t put off getting this little item and miss out on pictures you can never get back again.

This is a great list! Though I think that family tablets will also be top Christmas gifts this year, like the Kurio. My sister got one for her son for his birthday and he absolutely loves it, and so does she! she had never gotten around to buying herself a tablet, so she really enjoys the fact that it can be a child’s tablet for her son and an ordinary tablet for her. :) I think I’ll get one for my daughter this holiday season.

That’s all my daughter talks about. She sings the commercial all the time. She’s 5 and loves the toy/pillow. I think I will order more. I almost never comment, but after reading a few of the comments on this page Hottest Christmas Toys 2012
    - Top 10 Christmas Gifts for Kids | Help for Parents.
I actually do have 2 questions for you if you do not mind.
Could it be simply me or do some of these remarks appear like they are written by brain dead folks?
:-P And, if you are writing on additional places, I would like to follow everything
fresh you have to post. Would you make a list of every one of all your social pages like
your twitter feed, Facebook page or linkedin profile?
